Adult Down Syndrome Clinic

Since 11th August 2012, the Department of Primary Health Care has introduced a new wellness clinic, in collaboration with the Down Syndrome Association.

The clinic is intended for all individuals with Down Syndrome aged 16 years and over.

Other than providing a medical follow-up and screening service, it is an opportunity for providing a seamless service to these individuals, allowing for early and appropriate health promotion and education. All clients will be followed up at least once a year.

This clinic operates every Saturday morning between 8am and 11.30am from Birkirkara Health Centre.

Referrals may be received from private GPs, Health Centre GPs, MDH, Allied Professionals, CDAU, Child Guidance Clinic, Adult Learning Disabilities Unit, Schools or self-referred.
