Monday to Friday from 7.00 a.m. until 3.30 p.m.
Saturdays from 7.00am until noon.

Services

The clinic focuses on patients who suffer from various medical conditions. Additionally, in MOP4 Clinic also caters for cardio thoracic, stoma and Thalassaemia patients.
Consultants serving at MOP4 include Dr. C. Mallia Azzopardi, Dr. O. Aquilina, Dr. M. Tilney, Dr. T. Tilney, Dr. C. Azzopardi, Dr. R. Xuereb, Dr. M. Xuereb, Dr. H. Felice, Dr. N. Vella, Dr. T. Piscopo, Mr. A. Manche, Mr. W. Busutill, Mr. J. Galea, Dr M. Farrugia, Profs A. Felice , Dr E. Said and Dr C. Scerri.
A team of staff members, including nurses, look after patients while visiting the clinic. These team is led by Ms. Christine Cauchi. (Acting Nursing Officer), who is assisted by Ms Doreen Scerri (Deputy Nursing Officer).

Making an appointment at MOP4

New case appointments for the following consultants are made at the clinic by means of a referral by the patent's general practitioner: Dr. O. Aquilina, Dr. H. Felice, Dr. R. Xuereb, Dr. M. Xuereb, Dr. C. Azzopardi, Dr. M. Tilney, and Dr. T. Tilney.
New case appointments with Dr. N. Vella are done through the Main Reception by presenting a referral by a general practitioner.
Follow-up appointments for the following consultants are given at the Clinic: Mr. A. Manche, Mr. W. Busuttil, Mr. J. Galea. The three Consultants would have seen these patients as new cases at the Cardiac Surgical Ward.
Urgent appointments, being either new cases or a follow-ups, should be discussed between the referring doctor and the consultant concerned.
Appointments to and from other consultants have to be referred by means of a consultation form whch is then submitted to MOP 4. Appointments are given to the patients after the Nursing Officer contacts a Cardiologist to vet the forms. Lipid cases are also vetted by the Consultants. Consultations for Dr. Norbert Vella are booked through the Main Reception. For urgent cases, the referring consultant must contact Dr. Norbert Vella personally.
Application forms for angiograms (elective) are received from Cardiology and other departments and entered in the Cardiology program. Subsequently, forms are sent to the Catheterisation Suite and appointments are sent to patients one month prior to the actual angiogram.
An HIV/Infectious Diseases clinic is provided at MOP4 by Dr. C. Mallia Azzopardi and Dr. T. Piscopo. New cases are referred directly to both Consultants via other consultants; GP's. Hepatitis injections are given at MOP4 by nurses so that patients do not need to go to Health Centres

Renewal of Schedule V and Other Permits

Any renewal of Schedule V / Non Formulary cards related to a medical condition may be done in the office located at the ground floor level of the Outpatient Department, between Monday and Friday from 7.30am to 2.30pm.
