Where is Medical Ward 3?
Medical Ward 3 is located on the first floor of the brown block.

What is Medical Ward 3?
Medical Ward 3 is a 24 bedded medical male ward that deal with acute medical conditions. Patients are admitted to this ward mainly from other admission wards/observation wards or directly from the emergency department.

Who will look after me?
A team of nurses and carers, managed by Charge Nurse Ms. Constance Cassar who is assisted by Deputy Charge Nurse Ms. Romina Cassar, who take care for the patients in the ward.
There are various consultants specialising in respiratory, rheumatology and general medicine, who admit their patients in this ward. Other health care professionals provide care to our clients. These include physiotherapist, occupational therapists, speech language therapist and others.

Meal times
Patients have the opportunity to order their lunch and dinner from an established menu. A staff member consults each patient in the morning so the order is taken for the following day.
Breakfast: 6:00am to 6:30am
Lunch: 11:30am to 12:30pm
Dinner: 5:00pm to 6:00pm

Visiting times
Official visiting times are:
Monday to Sunday (including public holidays):
11:30 to 13:00 (2 visitors at any one time)
15:00 to 20:00 (2 visitors at any one time)

Special permits for visiting outside the established visiting hours may be given to relatives at the sole discretion of the Nursing Officer.

Contacting the ward
In order to speak to the nurses on the ward, one may call on telephone number 2545 6030. Nursing staff are not expected to give detailed medical information over the phone so as to protect patients’ right to confidentiality.
