Description
The dental hygienists deployed at the Dental Public Health Unit of the Superintendence of Public Health are involved in oral health surveillance and dental health education and promotion.

• The Dental hygienists are involved in the organization, collection of data and evaluation of community-based scientific studies. They implement programs for community oral health development according to the recommendations of such epidemiological studies. 
• They plan and implement effective oral health education programmes for a variety of individuals, groups and organisations. 
• Organise and participate in Local, International and European events and conferences that raise awareness for oral health and of the burden of oral diseases.
