State of the World's Nursing Report

On 7th April 2020, World Health Day, the State of the World’s Nursing report was launched. This report was developed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in partnership with the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the global Nursing Now campaign.

The report provides a description of how the nursing workforce will help to deliver Universal Health Coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals along with highlighting areas for policy development. This is in view of the concept that nurses make a central contribution to national and global targets related to universal health coverage, noncommunicable diseases, including mental health, emergency preparedness and response, patient safety, and the delivery of integrated, people-centered care.
