Annual Retention Fee
 
The Annual Retention Fee (ARF), in line with the provisions of Article 170 of Act No. XIII of 2015, 'Budget Measure Implementation Act' , is automatically due in January of each year, together with a duly filled Declaration Form in line with the provisions of Legal Notice 84 of 2014, Indemnity Insurance for Healthcare Professionals Regulations, 2014, and the Press Release issued by the Ministry for Health, PR140142, dated 29th January 2014. 
 
The Declaration Form (revised 05.01.2015) may be downloaded from our website (download).  All the related Laws may be accessed from our webpage 'Laws and Circulars'.
 
Payments may be effected by REVOLUT, in the exact in cash, by cheque payable to the Medical Council Malta, or by Standing Order.  The Circular for the setting up of a Standing Order (download). 
 
REVOLUT instructions below:
1. From bottom menu select ‘crossed arrows’ icon to enter ‘Payments’ screen.
2. Select ‘+Transfer’ tab to enter ‘Whom to pay’ screen.
3. Select Bank Accounts and select ‘Add a recipient’.
4. Scroll to the top in the ‘Account details’ screen and select ‘Business’ tab.
5. Fill-in banking details with following IBAN: MT55MALT011000040001EURCMG5001H and enter ‘Medical Council under ‘company name’.
6. It is important to enter mcmsubscriptions@gov.mt in the email field. This way the medical council receives an automatic receipt of your payment. 

Payments in person will be accepted by Ms Joanne Vella (Room 18, SLH-OPD, Level 1, St Luke's Square, G'Mangia) between Monday- Wednesday and Friday from 08.30 till 13.30, however ideally an appointment is set in advance in order to ensure availability.  An email is to be sent at joanne.b.vella@gov.mt.
