Specialised Divisions within the Speech-Language Department were formed to further improve our services. Each division is made up of a number of Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with a shared area of expertise, who would be jointly interested in furthering the Department’s research into areas of assessment, intervention, evidence based practice and public awareness on a particular subject. Past Specialised Divisions have been dedicated to the following areas of expertise:
- Aphasia
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Dementia
- Linguistics
- Literacy
- Voice
Evidence Based Practice within the Department is also fostered through the organisation of Clinical Focus Groups for all staff.
